In this area, the activities of this department are related to marine industries and the following programs are pursued:


	The expansion of related research. In this regard, two research centers have been set up for coastal structures and hydrodynamics.
	The setting up of short term training courses. These courses are specialized and are designed to provide the country's marine industries with internationally recognized certificates.
