Ardakan
With an area of 24000 sq. km, Ardakan is located on the road of Tehran-Kerman-Bandar Abbas. The name of Ardakan consists of two words of 'Ard', means holy, and 'Kan', means place.

At the flourishing age, this city had been located in an area with the name of Zardak and its old walls are stable, yet.Three parts of Markazi, Kharanagh and Aghda constitute this township. This city is Mr. Khatami's birthplace, the innovator of Dialogue among Civilizations.
